Spring is almost over, but it's never too late to get in some 60's-esque spring cleaning! And the Little Go Girl Sweep Scene by Norstar is a great example how to perfectly package bummeroo cleaning tools to the groovier gals of my youth. A lovely lil redhead as the box illustration is always a plus, and of course some fabulously foxy era fashion never hurts either! "Go Go Sweeper" - the brief time Inspector Gadget was laid off from the police force and had to work part time as housekeeping.
I wonder if there was a Barbie version of this, or was that a rare missed opportunity by Mattel.
It doesn't look like anything is missing and it comes with the original box, a rare thing for most toys.

For once I've got a complaint on the packaging, I think the font is too small, and not groovy enough. Everything else is great! I love the bright yellows and oranges; the weird kind of motion on the girl (it looks like she is at the same time falling and swinging around, which give it a good look.) Nice piece of work!
Does the sweeper really work? i.e., is it one of those mechanical contraptions where a turning brush moves dirt into a compartment? Or is it just a prop?
Ah, the heyday of play labor. Broom and mop cheek-and-jowl with a stove and new nappies for your wetting doll. What a delight to get a fashionable, gendered set of household chores under the tree each year. I myself had a plastic push mower and a belt of big colorful tools. Hours of play imagining just how horrible growing old was gonna be.
I love the box art so much. Not the least because the girl actually looks like she's right now waking to the fact that she'd been daydreaming about doing something that is in no way fun.
